Queally became the leg kicker in the fight, driving heavy kicks to the lead leg of Pitbull and causing visible bruising and swelling as the Irish crowd continued to sing through the entirety of the first round. Pitbull responded by dropping heavy body punches to set up punches to the head. The bout was a rematch of May clash that Queally won by TKO after Pitbull suffered a cut on his scalp. Unfortunately for the Irish faithful, their hometown fighter couldn't pull off the win in the main event as Peter Queally fell to Patricky Pitbull by TKO in the second round, sending Pitbull home with the lightweight championship. The Dublin crowd was fired up throughout the Bellator 270 card on Friday evening, chanting and singing along with the action.
